Rachel Field
Rachel is an Associate at The Engine, a venture fund that invests in ‘tough tech’ solutions to urgent global problems. Prior to The Engine, she co-founded and ran research and development for Sensory Cloud, a startup that has developed a method for targeted upper airway hydration to address a range of respiratory conditions. Previously, she spun out her research on digitized olfactory signals at Harvard University to co-found oNotes, which commercialized a new method of programmable scent delivery for the flavor and fragrance industry. Rachel holds an MS and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University, where she researched the microfluidic fabrication and ultrasound-stimulated actuation of implantable microdevices. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University.
