CAREY BORN

Carey Born is an award-winning filmmaker based in London. She studied languages at university and was a painter and actress before she started making films. Carey is interested in education and in connections between science and the arts. She is currently making a film about cyborg artist Neil Harbisson, who only sees in black and white. Neil has an antenna embedded in his head that allows him to hear colour. Carey is involved with the charity Magic Lantern that introduces children to art and seeks to make art accessible to all. She is focused on the well-being and education of young people and is keen to help Next Breath in achieving its objective of better respiratory health for children around the world. Carey is the mother of two amazing girls.
